Since the game has been out for, like, a week and change, you can run through the content fairly quickly in eight hours. You’re also supposed to find journal entries to help progress through the campaign story but you literally don’t have to do that, you can just stick around for days on end looting, shooting, and crating. And if you’re playing on higher difficulties you can literally walk these enemies into traps you can lay down ANYWHERE and help take the pressure off. A melee weapon like a bat or katana will be more than enough to take out even the most ardent of zombies and/or mutates. The enemies aren’t even that hard to fight, even in packs. This game is akin to tower defense thus why a lot of dumbasses who go into it expecting a run and gun game are getting their ignorant asses handed to them.
There is actually a story to follow but it’s not holding your hand and makes you work for it. Thus far it’s been a pretty interesting adventure. The game is actually decent and the devs are super quick with updates and hotfixes.
